- Wide & Bright: Delivers a much brighter 50° beam than standard lens tubes (on Series 3 LEDs, a dramatic output boost is observed), so your wide washes are vivid and punchy.
- Excellent Image Quality: Maintains near-zero chromatic aberration and solid focus across a very wide field, giving you clean edges and true colors even at 50° spread.
- Improved Contrast: Enhanced optical clarity yields better contrast and definition in projected patterns or scenic lighting, surpassing the performance of older 50° designs.
- Achromatic Optics: Incorporates the XDLT achromatic double-lens system with anti-reflective coatings for optimal light transmission and clarity. (Even without an extra corrective lens – not used at 50° – it achieves outstanding color accuracy through refined design.)
- Minimal Light Spill: Engineered to greatly reduce light leak, focusing virtually all output into the field and improving efficiency and control.
Specifications
- Field Angle: 50° (extra-wide beam), suited for short throws and broad coverage, such as stage washes and backdrop lighting where maximum spread is needed.
- Compatibility: Intended for ETC Source Four LED Series 3 fixtures using the XDLT barrel. Also compatible with Series 2, Series 1, ColorSource Spot, and Source 4WRD if those are fitted with an XDLT shutter barrel upgrade. (Not compatible with tungsten Source Four fixtures due to heat tolerances)
- Barrel Requirement: Mounts to the ETC XDLT shutter barrel only. (Standard Series 3 barrel or retrofit XDLT barrel needed on the fixture.)
- Optical Design: XDLT achromatic doublet lens assembly with AR coatings for high-fidelity output and broad, even field coverage.
- Output Benefits: Significantly increases lumen output and uniformity over a traditional 50° lens tube, allowing LED engines like the Series 3 to fully illuminate large areas with clarity and intensity.
